This is a total list of people to whom Halifax Town owe money to, to the tune of £2 million pounds.

Why does it bother me? Because they finished one place and one point above Altrincham in the final league BSP table, thus relegating Alty. Altrincham run a tight ship and actually made a small profit this year, but choose to run the club within their means, rather than on the never-never like Halifax have done.

If you look at the list, you will see lots of local businesses to whom money is owed; these are businesses who will be small and have tight turnovers. The club have offered to pay by 2.5p in every £1 owed, a ridiculously small amount.

Hopefully they will go bust and Alty stay up as a result of them going out of business.

I've been looking for this for ages - The Heebeegeebees live!

The Heebeegeebees are Philip Pope, Angus Deayton and Michael Fenton Stevens, who around the turn of the 80's released two albums and toured as the Heebeegeebees, a parody group of pop acts of the time.

The two albums contain some of the most superbly crafted imitations I've ever heard - I think only The Rutles come close in terms of accuracy and style. They aren't crude like that Wierd Al Yankovic or whatever he is, they are just funny and clever.
